Picture-to-Text-to-Speech Software on the N82

Blogger Darla Mack posts the latest way Nokia is connecting people with vision impairments to experience more with the N82.

K-NFB Reading has partnered with Nokia to read text-to-speech via photo character recognition software. People with vision impairments can now simply take a photo of a restaurant menu, mail, US currency and other documents that is displayed as text on the device screen and is read aloud.

Check out video demos of the application and see for yourself the amazing the capabilites that Nseries devices can offer.

The Mobile Reader software is currently supported on the S60 operating system on the N82 in UK and US English.

See the dark video for yourself and be surprised to actually see a thing or two with barely any light.
